Industrial Sales Manager, Engineered Hydraulics

Location:  Morgantown, WV  

Compensation:  $180-200+K on-target earnings, company vehicle, full benefits

 

Seeking an experienced heavy industrial Sales Manager to lead, train and motivate a team of technical sales professionals selling a wide variety engineered hydraulic products, custom fabrication, and repair services for mobile heavy duty equipment used in rigorous operating environments in Mining, Mineral Processing, Directional Drilling, Steel, and Oilfield applications. As Regional Sales Manager, you will have complete responsibility and accountability for a multi-state region with the highest growth potential within the entire company!

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Develop and implement a tactical business plan that supports the strategic vision of the company
  • Manage the profitable growth of a multi-state Eastern U.S. region supported by 6-8 sales representatives and inside sales team selling direct to mobile heavy equipment OEMs and MROs
  • Provide training on products and services to ensure overall technical competency of the sales team
  • Lead and train sales team in areas of problem solving and consultative sales techniques
  • Set stretch goals for individuals and team to achieve high performance levels
  • Develop target account strategies and conduct joint sales calls onsite at customer locations
  • Provide feedback, coaching and establish career development plans
  • Assist with the development and delivery of commercial proposals and customer presentations for all products and projects within the region
  • Remain current on industry developments and emerging trends (technological, competitive, and environmental)
  • Respond promptly to changing customers demands
  • Travel throughout region as required to provide support and to drive profitable new growth

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

 

  • 4-year degree required (Engineering, Science, or Technical degree highly preferred)
  • MBA is a plus, but not required
  • 10+ years of Sales and/or Sales Management in heavy industrial markets such as Mining, Mineral Processing, Steel, Aluminum, and/or Oil & Gas drilling or hydraulic fracking
  • 5+ years of Sales Leadership as District Manager, Regional Manager or Sales Director of a team of 8 or more salespeople
  • Functional knowledge of high pressure (3500+ psi) hydraulic cylinders and related components such as stoke arms, bearings, hoses, fittings, adapters, pumps, and filters
  • Knowledge or exposure to metal fabrication, CNC machining, welding, or chrome plating services is a plus
  • Existing relationships with mining and drilling original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) dealer networks
  • Thorough understanding of a consultative, problem solving, “solutions selling” sales culture
  • Strong aptitude and desire to train, coach, and develop technical sales professionals
  • Clear track record of high sales and sales management achievements
  • Strong business acumen with detailed understanding of key financial performance metrics
  • Proficiency with CRM databases such as SalesForce, HubSpot, etc. is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Competency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%

 

Compensation includes an attractive base salary, strong commission/bonus program, and company vehicle.  Company benefits include a 401-K with company match, medical, dental, vision and life insurance, and paid vacation.
