POSITION: Plant Manager – U.S. Operations
LOCATION: Winston-Salem / Hickory, NC
International company with plastic packaging and material handling solutions is expanding their footprint in the U.S. and is seeking a dynamic leader to drive operations and revenue growth.
The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company’s U.S. manufacturing facility and managing the commercial (sales) strategy to drive growth.
This role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of plastic manufacturing and supply chain dynamics.
Individual should have experience in manufacturing and selling into some or all of these relevant industries: retail, food and beverage, agriculture, pharmaceutical, chemical, paper / plastics, automated warehouses
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations Management
- Lead all plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, inventory, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for plant operations.
- Oversee equipment and facility maintenance to ensure high uptime and reliability.
Sales & Commercial Leadership
- Develop and execute a sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Drive new business development while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships.
- Partner with marketing and product teams to support customer acquisition and retention.
- Monitor market trends and customer needs to inform product and pricing strategies.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team across operations and sales.
- Collaborate with global leadership and Israel-based teams to ensure alignment.
- Represent the U.S. operation in executive discussions and planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in plastics or packaging.
- 5+ years in a leadership role with P&L responsibility.
- Proven experience leading both operations and sales teams is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain, and industrial sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA a plus).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
