Job Title: Maintenance ManagerLocation: Louisville, KY Salary: $70,000- $80,000
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees technical support personnel and ensures the general maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of all plant facilities and equipment. This role is critical in maintaining the smooth and safe operation of processing systems, production equipment, and the physical plant infrastructure within a food and beverage manufacturing environment.
Supervise maintenance activities and ensure safe operation of the physical plant and all production equipment
Develop and manage preventive maintenance (PM) procedures with OEM guidance for all systems and machinery
Execute and oversee all tasks related to the Maintenance Work Order system
Perform regular facility and equipment inspections to ensure safety and operational reliability
Plan, coordinate, and supervise PMs, repairs, equipment installations, and pre-installation activities
Monitor system-critical plant components and ensure functionality
Maintain spare parts inventory and order replacements as needed
Manage vendor and contractor relationships for service and support
Track and analyze energy/resource usage trends
Stay informed on and ensure compliance with SQF, federal, and state safety regulations (with guidance from Sr. QA and Technical Services Managers)
Safely operate forklifts including stacking, truck loading/unloading, and maneuvering in tight spaces
Ensure all equipment is maintained in safe and food-safe operating condition
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience in food manufacturing strongly preferred
Certifications in general maintenance disciplines such as electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems preferred
Proficient with PLC systems and common industrial control systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Demonstrates a positive work ethic, adaptability, and dependability
Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance
Able to interpret instructions and solve problems with varying complexity
Activities: Standing, walking for extended periods, bending, stooping, and lifting
Hearing: Ability to hear in loud environments and understand verbal instructions
Repetitive Motion: Frequent use of hands, wrists, and fingers
Vision: Sufficient to inspect equipment, read documents, and operate machinery
Strength/Dexterity: Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs; able to coordinate and supervise equipment relocation using lifting tools
Environment involves extended hours in a food/beverage processing facility
Conditions may include exposure to hot or cold temperatures depending on season
Must be comfortable working around noise and production-related activity
