PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual skills preferred but not required
- 2-5 years of production experience preferred
- Knowledge of meat processing and job specifications
- Strong management and communication skills advantageous
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor the (slaughter OR fabrication) area by evaluating product quality and implementing corrective procedures as needed, including indirect training on job specifications.
- Manage attendance by coordinating personnel to fill vacancies and minimize turnover rates.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections, set up production equipment, and submit maintenance work orders as required.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace safety, and human resources policies.
- Foster a positive working environment by engaging with personnel regularly.
- Audit product quality and employee safety throughout shifts.
- Reduce waste by minimizing inedible products and maintaining a sanitary work environment.
- Process post-operational attendance data using tracking systems.
- Lead monthly or as-needed team meetings to address departmental concerns and updates.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work within production and maintenance environments
- Exposure to chemicals, machinery, and knives
- Conditions may include slippery floors, high temperatures, and loud ambient noise
- Regularly working 50+ hours per week on the harvest or hides production floor
