PRODUCTION  SUPERVISOR

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual skills preferred but not required
  • 2-5 years of production experience preferred
  • Knowledge of meat processing and job specifications
  • Strong management and communication skills advantageous

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor the (slaughter OR fabrication) area by evaluating product quality and implementing corrective procedures as needed, including indirect training on job specifications.
  • Manage attendance by coordinating personnel to fill vacancies and minimize turnover rates.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections, set up production equipment, and submit maintenance work orders as required.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace safety, and human resources policies.
  • Foster a positive working environment by engaging with personnel regularly.
  • Audit product quality and employee safety throughout shifts.
  • Reduce waste by minimizing inedible products and maintaining a sanitary work environment.
  • Process post-operational attendance data using tracking systems.
  • Lead monthly or as-needed team meetings to address departmental concerns and updates.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work within production and maintenance environments
  • Exposure to chemicals, machinery, and knives
  • Conditions may include slippery floors, high temperatures, and loud ambient noise
  • Regularly working 50+ hours per week on the harvest or hides production floor
