The Opportunity

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be a highly skilled insurance professional responsible for managing complex accounts with minimal oversight. In this senior-level role, you will be the go-to expert for client service, policy management, and risk assessment. You will take an active leadership role in mentoring junior team members, optimizing processes, and driving client retention and growth. You Will:

  • Independently manage a book of business with high-value accounts ($2.5M+).
  • Assess complex risk scenarios, recommend strategic coverage solutions, and guide clients through claims resolution.
  • Conduct in-depth account reviews to identify gaps in coverage and opportunities for additional protection.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate complex insurance solutions.
  • Lead client meetings and strategic planning sessions to enhance client retention and satisfaction.
  • Act as a senior resource for Account Managers, leading training initiatives and coaching on complex account scenarios.
  • Lead business growth efforts by proactively identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, developing client expansion strategies, and ensuring multi-line policy consolidation.
  • Work collaboratively with carriers and underwriters to negotiate and secure the best policy terms for clients.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in insurance account management.
  • Proven track record of managing complex or high-value accounts with minimal supervision.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional client service and relationship-building capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience handling high-net-worth or complex accounts.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or training capacity.
  • Proficiency in agency management software and policy underwriting processes.
