Account Manager – SMB/ Managed Services


Location - Saskatchewan or Manitoba

Position Summary

As an Account Manager – SMB / Managed Services, you will be responsible for growing and nurturing Horizon’s SMB and Managed Services client base through relationship-focused account management and proactive new business development. This role ensures high-quality client experience, long-term retention, and strategic expansion of Horizon’s Managed Services, cybersecurity, cloud, and Professional Services offerings.

·       Encourage and foster a similar mindset within and across Horizon teams through daytoday interactions.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams where opportunities arise to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.

·       Other duties as required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service and long‑term retention.

• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across Managed Services, cybersecurity, cloud, and Professional Services.

• Conduct regular business reviews to ensure alignment, satisfaction, and future planning.

• Prospect, qualify, and secure new Managed Services accounts.

• Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients and advance deals through the sales cycle.

• Develop tailored proposals and presentations highlighting Horizon’s value.

• Collaborate with technical teams to scope and position Managed Service offerings.

• Meet or exceed revenue targets, new client acquisition goals, and account expansion milestones.

• Maintain accurate CRM records, including activity tracking, forecasting, and documentation.

• Represent Horizon at industry events and partner engagements.

• Provide market insights and client feedback to support continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications:

 

• 5+ years of experience in IT services, Managed Services, or technology sales (preferred).

• Strong relationship‑building ability and consultative sales approach.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient with M365 Office applications.

• Experience with systems such as ConnectWise Manage, ConnectWise Sell, DocuSign, HubSpot, LinkedIn Navigator, and QuickBooks.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and perform in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to ask questions and seek help when needed.
