Location: This role is based in Franklin, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville. The firm would prefer this position to be on-site or hybrid.

Note: To be considered, you must be licensed to practice law in Tennessee. Candidates with a couple years of experience are preferred, and courtroom experience — especially in landlord-tenant or eviction matters — is a major plus.

Job Description

  • Represent clients in court throughout the state of Tennessee
  • Prepare, draft, and revise pleadings, motions, notices, and other legal documents
  • Assist with landlord-tenant, eviction, foreclosure, replevin, bankruptcy, collections, and general litigation matters
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy, status updates, and legal issues
  • Conduct legal research and analyze legal issues affecting active matters
  • Negotiate settlements and help resolve disputes efficiently
  • Work closely with attorneys and staff across the firm as needed
  • Ensure files are handled in compliance with legal standards, court rules, and deadlines

Qualifications

  • J.D. required
  • Licensed to practice law in Tennessee
  • 2+ years of legal experience preferred
  • Courtroom experience strongly preferred
  • Landlord-tenant and eviction experience is a strong plus
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Admission to the District Courts of Tennessee is a plus
