Pay: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Location: This is a fully remote position supporting clients across Iowa.
Note: Must have strong debtor-side bankruptcy experience, including substantial hands-on work in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters, with the ability to independently prepare petitions, schedules, SOFA, means tests, and Chapter 13 plans.

Job Description
- Independently prepare Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 petitions, schedules, statements, and means tests
- Draft Chapter 13 plans, amendments, and common bankruptcy motions
- Manage a high-volume debtor-side caseload with strong accuracy and minimal oversight
- Track deadlines, 341 meetings, trustee requirements, bar dates, and post-filing follow-up
- Coordinate document collection, client communication, and case progression from intake through filing and beyond
- Review financial information for completeness, inconsistencies, and filing issues before submission
- File and manage documents through ECF/PACER and related bankruptcy systems
- Reduce attorney time spent on routine explanations, follow-ups, and administrative case movement
- Help improve workflows, systems, and quality-control processes as the practice grows
- Escalate legal or strategic issues appropriately while handling routine case matters independently
Qualifications
- 5+ years of debtor-side bankruptcy experience
- Strong experience with both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 case preparation
- Proven ability to independently prepare complete bankruptcy filings
- Experience drafting Chapter 13 plans and common post-petition motions
- Comfortable managing deadlines and high case volume in a remote environment
- Proficiency with bankruptcy software, ECF/PACER, and cloud-based document systems
- Strong judgment, organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Clear, professional client communication skills
