- Lead preparation and review of corporate, trust, and individual tax returns
- Manage tax department workflow, deadlines, and staff assignments across in-office and remote team members
- Oversee quarterly filings, year-end planning, and compliance cycles for diverse client entities
- Mentor, train, and supervise tax staff while fostering a culture of quality and accountability
- Drive technology upgrades and process improvements within the tax department
- Partner with firm leadership on strategic growth initiatives and service offerings
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Maintain high standards of responsiveness and client service for business and high-net-worth clients
Qualifications
- Active CPA license
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with strong corporate and trust/individual tax exposure
- Proven experience reviewing complex returns and managing engagements
- Comfortable leading a tax team and improving processes and systems
- Proficiency with common tax and accounting platforms (e.g., UltraTax, QuickBooks or similar)
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Indianapolis metro area
