Location: This is a full-time on-site opportunity in Melville, New York.

Note: Must have at least 3 years of legal administrative or legal assistant experience. Labor and employment law experience is strongly preferred. Experience with NetDocs and TABS3 is a plus.

Job Description

  • Provide high-level legal administrative and paralegal support to attorneys in a busy labor and employment practice
  • Draft, revise, proofread, and format correspondence, pleadings, responses, briefs, discovery materials, presentations, and other legal documents
  • Manage attorney calendars, track deadlines, and help keep matters moving efficiently and accurately
  • Prepare exhibits, organize files, maintain records, and assist with document management
  • Handle electronic filings, discovery support, and legal document coordination
  • Communicate professionally with clients, arbitrators, mediators, opposing counsel, and other outside parties
  • Support time entry, conference logistics, registrations, renewals, and other practice-related administrative functions
  • Conduct basic legal research and pull cases, statutes, and regulations when needed
  • Help maintain a polished, organized, and responsive practice in a high-volume environment

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of legal administrative, legal assistant, or paralegal experience
  • Labor and employment law experience preferred
  • Strong proofreading, grammar, and document formatting skills
  • Experience managing calendars, deadlines, and legal documents in a fast-paced setting
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and legal research tools
  • NetDocs experience is a plus
  • TABS3 experience is a plus
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities well
