Location: This is an on-site role based in St. Petersburg, Florida, with the potential for up to one work-from-home day per week for the right person.
Note: We are seeking an experienced litigator with medical malpractice defense and/or nursing home defense experience. Candidates with a history of frequent job changes will not be considered. Local candidates are strongly preferred, as relocation is not being offered.

Job Description
- Handle medical malpractice defense and/or nursing home defense matters from case inception through resolution
- Manage case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
- Take ownership of case development and move files forward proactively
- Prepare clients, experts, and witnesses for deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial
- Draft and argue substantive motions and other key pleadings
- Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure and provide strategic recommendations
- Work closely with attorneys and staff in a team-oriented litigation environment
- Maintain strong client communication and deliver high-quality legal work in a timely manner
Qualifications
- 3+ years of directly relevant litigation experience
- Strong background in medical malpractice defense and/or nursing home defense
- Trial prep experience required; actual trial experience preferred
- Strong writing, deposition, and case management skills
- Proactive, accountable, and team-oriented work style
- Stable job history preferred
- Florida Bar admission strongly preferred or required based on active practice needs
