Location:

Downtown Los Angeles, California. This is a 100 percent on site role in a brand new office.

Must be an active member of the California State Bar in good standing and comfortable working in person in DTLA.

Job Description

  • Represent employees in wage and hour class actions and PAGA matters involving unpaid overtime, meal and rest breaks, unreimbursed expenses, and related claims
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents in state and federal court
  • Conduct legal research and write clear, persuasive briefs and case strategy memos
  • Take and defend depositions with guidance from experienced class action litigators
  • Help manage a growing caseload and hit deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Work closely with senior attorneys while building toward independently managing your own matters

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Active California Bar license in good standing
  • Approximately 0 to 2 years of employment law experience with exposure to wage and hour class actions and or PAGA preferred
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
  • Organized, detail oriented, and able to manage priorities and deadlines
