Location: Hybrid role based in Phoenix, Arizona, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Job Description

• Manage civil defense litigation matters from early case assessment through resolution
• Handle pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, court appearances, mediations, and trial prep
• Represent clients in insurance defense matters involving auto, general liability, and premises liability claims
• Evaluate cases early and develop thoughtful litigation strategies aligned with client goals
• Communicate regularly with clients and provide clear reporting, analysis, and recommendations
• Conduct legal research and draft strong, persuasive legal documents
• Negotiate settlements and help drive cases toward efficient, favorable outcomes
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff in a team-oriented environment while taking ownership of your caseload

Qualifications

• JD and Arizona Bar admission in good standing
• 2+ years of directly relevant civil defense litigation experience preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience handling discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
• Ability to manage files independently and stay organized in a fast-paced practice
• Insurance defense experience strongly preferred
