Our client, a leading MEP Consulting firm, is looking for a BIM Specialist to join their team in San Jose, CA on full time basis.  The BIM Specialist supports model-based project management construction technology deployment and BIM workflows by creating mechanical and plumbing BIM models and installation drawings for a variety of projects. This role requires advanced expertise in Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, RFTools and Navisworks. The position serves as a liaison between clients, project managers, engineers, consultants and construction teams while supporting coordination efforts throughout the project lifecycle.  The salary range is between $75,000 - $105,000 annually.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up new projects and support BIM coordination from project kickoff through completion
• Develop construction documents and detailed 3D drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
• Create maintain and update 2D and 3D BIM models while integrating project specifications and submittals
• Perform clash detection interference checks and constructability reviews to support project coordination
• Interpret project schedules and support BIM workflows to ensure timely project delivery
• Review and interpret MEP drawings riser diagrams submittals and related construction documents
• Work closely with project teams to develop installation drawings and provide technical guidance
• Coordinate with clients consultants and internal teams to meet project milestones and deliverables
• Support integrated project teams in developing and implementing BIM strategies
• Ensure compliance with BIM quality control and quality assurance standards on all projects
• Participate in project design coordination and construction meetings as an active team member
• Maintain strong communication and working relationships with internal teams clients and external stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of three years of experience in a BIM Operator or related role
• Preferred five years of experience in building inspection architecture engineering facilities planning or related disciplines
• Minimum of one year of experience in building inspection architecture engineering facilities planning or a related field
• Strong knowledge of BIM processes technologies and project coordination workflows
• Experience working with BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) platforms
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, RFTools and Navisworks
• Experienced using Microsoft Office Suite, PDF editing software SharePoint and Procore
• Team-oriented professional with a passion for delivering effective client solutions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform in fast-paced deadline-driven environments
• Associate’s degree in Architectural or Engineering Technology, Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 

• May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
• Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
• Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
