Our client, a healthcare organization in Oakland, is looking for a talented Director of Program Services to join their team on a full-time basis. The Director of Programs and Services is responsible for overseeing the organization’s core service programs, ensuring high-quality delivery, operational efficiency, and alignment with revenue and strategic goals. This role serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and acts as a bridge between frontline service delivery and executive management. The salary range is $175,000 - $200,000 annually depending on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Oversight & Service Delivery:
- Lead and manage all core programs and services, ensuring quality, consistency and scalability
- Oversee day-to-day program operations, including service delivery and coordination
- Maintain focus on core business lines that drive the majority of organizational revenue
- Ensure programs meet client needs and organizational standards
- Supervise direct reports, including:
- Client Services Supervisor
- Office Manager
- Provide guidance and oversight for both service delivery and operational functions
- Support staff development, accountability, and performance management
- Work with and support the Operational Accounting Manager on administration of FMS services
- Collaborate with the Office Manager on operational and facility-related needs
- Maintain, improve, and develop processes to support efficient program delivery
- Drive workflow optimization and operational consistency across programs
- Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration and communication
- Define, track, and report on KPIs and program performance metrics
- Analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
- Develop reports and present performance updates to executive leadership
- Ensure programs are operating efficiently and meeting performance expectations
- Ensure programs contribute to revenue generation and organizational sustainability
- Monitor program performance to maintain high-quality service delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve service offerings and expand program capabilities
Strategic Collaboration:
- Partner with executive leadership on program direction and service development
- Support growth initiatives within existing service lines
- Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment and execution of organizational goals
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in home healthcare, elder care, or a closely related field strongly preferred
- Experience managing programs, services, or operations in a service-based environment
- Proven ability to oversee teams and manage cross-functional operations
- Strong experience with KPIs, metrics and performance reporting
- Experience developing and improving processes and workflows
- Ability to operate between frontline teams and executive leadership
- Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills
- Bonus: Experience in home healthcare (most aligned), or related industries such as:
- Healthcare services
- Social services
- Education or program-based organizations
- Bonus: Experience supporting program growth and service development
- Bonus: Familiarity with data reporting tools and performance tracking systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
- Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
- Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
