Our client, a leading organization in international health care support services, is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy HR professional to join our team in Hayward, CA. This role is heavily focused on the technical and analytical side of Human Resources.
 
This is a temporary support role within the HR department and is an ideal opportunity for a candidate early in their HR career who is organized, detail-oriented, and maintains the highest standards of confidentiality. This person will work closely with the HR Generalist and report directly to the P&C Business Partner.
 
You will support the team by managing data integrity, creating reports, and optimizing workflows using Microsoft Excel and other computer applications. This is an ideal opportunity for a student or recent graduate who loves data and wants to apply technical skills to real-world workforce management in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Management & Reporting:
  • Maintain and audit employee data within our HR Information Systems (HRIS) to ensure 100% accuracy.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports regarding headcount, turnover, overtime, and certification compliance.
  • Assist in converting raw data into digestible dashboards and visual charts for leadership reviews.
Excel & Process Optimization:
  • Utilize Excel to clean, merge, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources (Time & Attendance, Payroll, HRIS).
  • Create templates and macros to automate repetitive administrative tasks.
  • Perform data audits using logical functions to identify discrepancies in employee files or payroll records.
Systems Support:
  • Act as a first-level support resource for employees navigating internal HR portals and apps.
  • Assist with the digital onboarding process, ensuring all electronic I-9s and background checks are processed correctly in the system.
  • Collaborate with the scheduling and payroll teams to reconcile hours worked against system logs.
Required Technical Skills:
We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable with technology and eager to leverage it to solve problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Human Resources, or Information Systems preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office with Intermediate Excel skills (must have) including formulas for data analysis and other tasks related to analytics.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to spot patterns and errors in data.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information.
  • Basic understanding of payroll processes.
  • Experience managing timesheets.
  • Familiarity with ADP and ESO for timekeeping is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the HR Generalist and cross-functional teams.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
  • Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
