Chief Accounting Officer

Our client is seeking a transformational Chief Accounting Officer to elevate its accounting organization and help lead the business through its next stage of growth and a future transaction. After a period of high growth and acquisitions, the organization is focused on building a more scalable, efficient, and mature accounting function. This is a highly visible opportunity for an accomplished CAO or senior Controller that has successfully transformed accounting teams, processes, systems, and controls within a complex, private equity-backed environment.

The successful candidate will combine strategic leadership with a hands-on, continuous improvement mindset. This individual will assess the current organization, optimize existing resources, accelerate automation, and professionalize the accounting function.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Accomplished Chief Accounting Officer, Corporate Controller, or senior accounting executive with experience in a private equity-backed environment.
• Proven experience elevating the accounting organization, establishing a scalable operating model aligned with continued growth and future transaction readiness.
• Demonstrated success transforming and scaling accounting teams, processes, systems, and controls.
• Strong understanding of transaction readiness, diligence requirements, and the expectations of private equity sponsors.
• Experience leading high-volume, transaction-oriented accounting operations.
• Experience developing and execute a roadmap to improve the overall maturity, efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness of the accounting function including evaluating or implementing outsourcing or offshore accounting models.
