Chief Human Resources Officer

Ascension Search Partners has been retained by a middle-market, private equity-backed services company embarking on a significant growth and transformation journey. As a member of the ELT, the CHRO will have the opportunity to modernize the HR function, drive organizational effectiveness, support acquisition integration, and help build the infrastructure required for the company's next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

This is a highly visible executive leadership role for a transformational HR leader who thrives in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments. The successful candidate will:

• Lead a company-wide HR transformation and build a scalable, strategic people function.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategy.
• Modernize compensation, benefits, performance management, and leadership development programs.
• Drive recruiting excellence to support continued growth.
• Leverage HR technology, analytics, and process automation to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Lead the people side of M&A activity, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
• Build the talent infrastructure necessary to support future growth and ownership transition objectives.

Ideal Background

• 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including executive-level responsibility.
• Proven success leading HR transformation in private equity-backed, high-growth, or complex organizations.
• Experience scaling organizations through acquisition activity, rapid growth, or operational change.
• Strong expertise across talent acquisition, total rewards, talent management, and HR operations.
• Demonstrated M&A integration and change management experience.
• Strategic leader with the ability to balance vision, execution, and business partnership.
