Finance Manager – Strategic Initiatives

Ascension Search Partners has been engaged by a $1B private equity backed distribution company to identify a Manager of Strategy to join a high-performing team undergoing a tremendous amount of growth. This role is ideal for a highly analytical management consultant, advisory, investment banker, or private equity analyst looking to transition to a strategic initiatives finance professional who enjoys acting as a strategic partner to the finance stakeholder, the finance organization, and departmental leadership. This person will be responsible for coordinating complex cross-functional projects, driving alignment across departments, and managing the strategic cadence of the finance team in a fast-paced environment.  This is a high-impact role that will take the lead on modeling, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis to support decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain complex financial models to support business decisions

• Conduct ad hoc and sensitivity analyses with limited direction

• Synthesize large amounts of data and translate into actionable insights

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple business units

• Communicate findings clearly and effectively with internal teams and field leadership

• Own and improve upon existing models and reporting frameworks

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of progressive experience in management consulting, advisory, investment banking, or similar

• Proven experience advising, managing, or influencing cross-functional stakeholders

• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis

• Excellent communicator in written and verbal form

• Successful multi-tasker, adaptable, able to pivot quickly, and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
