Ascension Search Partners has been engaged to identify a high-impact, hands-on VP of Corporate FP&A for a rapidly scaling, private equity–backed industrial services company.

This is a newly created, highly visible role designed to offer a strong career path within the organization. The position will serve as a key strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership team, owning corporate financial planning, reporting, and analytics while helping to build a scalable finance infrastructure to support aggressive growth.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical FP&A leadership, a private equity mindset, and the ability to operate with urgency and ownership in a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.

Scope of Responsibility

Corporate FP&A leadership

  • Own the 5-year long-range financial model and enterprise forecasting framework
  • Lead corporate reporting, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and bi-weekly sponsor reporting
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for SG&A across corporate functions
  • Provide actionable insights to drive cost management, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making

M&A and integration

  • Support financial integration of acquisitions, including modeling, reporting alignment, and process standardization
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure seamless onboarding of acquired businesses into financial processes

Transformation and process improvement

  • Drive ongoing enhancements across FP&A processes, systems, and reporting capabilities
  • Build scalable infrastructure to support a high-growth, multi-entity platform
  • Operate as a hands-on leader, capable of both strategic thinking and execution

Key Qualifications

  • Proven corporate FP&A leadership experience within a private equity–backed environment strongly preferred
  • Track record of owning long-range planning, corporate reporting, and SG&A management
  • Experience operating in a high-growth, acquisitive middle market business with increasing complexity
  • Strong technical finance skillset paired with the ability to translate insights into business decisions
  • Demonstrated success in building, improving, and scaling financial processes and infrastructure
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership and private equity sponsors
  • Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality with the ability to lead while executing
  • High intellectual horsepower, strong communication skills, and executive presence
