Director of FP&A

Ascension Search Partners has been retained to hire a Director of FP&A to join a PE backed, healthcare services powerhouse finance team where this person will play a key role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making. This is a highly visible, hands-on position working closely with executive leadership to work on M&A deals and deliver insights that shape business outcomes. You’ll lead core planning processes, analyze performance across the organization, and help translate operational initiatives into actionable financial strategies.

What You’ll Do

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
• Provide data-driven insights to improve revenue, profitability, and cost efficiency
• Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate performance and support strategic initiatives
• Build and maintain robust financial models for scenario analysis and decision support
• Support executive reporting and presentations for senior leadership and investors
• Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury-related activities
• Enhance reporting tools, forecasting processes, and business intelligence capabilities
• Contribute to M&A activities including financial analysis, due diligence, and integration
• Ensure alignment with financial, regulatory, and risk management frameworks

What We’re Looking For

• 8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, transaction advisory services, or similar roles
• Background in healthcare services or a complex, regulated industry preferred
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Experience working with large datasets and tools like SQL or BI platforms
• Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
• Experience in high-growth or investor-backed environments is a plus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
