FP&A Analyst (Financial Analyst)

Compensation$90000 - $100000 / yr

- CooperDouglas has partnered with a well-established consumer products manufacturer in Southeast Los Angeles County to find an FP&A Analyst.
- This is a newly created role on a lean finance team at a company that is investing in growth, improving operations and adding new customers.
- You will report to the FP&A Manager and work across Sales, Operations, Cost Accounting and the leadership team.
- Pricing and customer profitability drive this business, and this role builds the models behind those decisions.
- It's a great seat for a sharp, hungry analyst who likes messy data and wants to build templates and reporting from the ground up rather than maintain someone else's.

What you'll do
- Support the annual budget and periodic forecasts: gather inputs, maintain models, document assumptions and analyze results
- Maintain and improve customer pricing models, and build pricing calculators and financial models for new business
- Run sensitivity and scenario analysis on price, volume, product mix, labor and material costs
- Analyze customer and product profitability with Sales, Operations and Cost Accounting, and flag risks and opportunities
- Prepare sales and margin bridges and budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variance analysis for monthly reviews
- Produce recurring weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting, including flash, sales, departmental expense and plant spend reports
- Build ROI and feasibility analysis for proposed investments
- Take what exists today and expand it: new templates, better dashboards and cleaner data
- Ad hoc analysis for finance, sales, operations and leadership

What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of FP&A or financial analysis experience. Sharp thinking and common sense matter more than years
- Advanced Excel. You are genuinely confident in it. This is the must-have
- Data visualization skills
- Comfort with challenging, imperfect datasets and building models and templates from scratch
- Strong critical thinking, a strong work ethic and an appetite for a challenge
- Clear communicator who can work with sales and operations teams

Nice to have
- Financial modeling
- ERP experience
- Manufacturing or pricing analysis experience

Compensation and logistics
- $90,000 to $100,000 base salary plus benefits, including medical, dental, vision and a 401(k) match.
- The role is on-site five days a week in Southeast Los Angeles County.

- Apply with your resume and we'll be in touch quickly. All conversations are confidential.
