CooperDouglas has partnered with a large and innovative manufacturing organization to identify a Vice President of Finance & Accounting, a key executive leader responsible for driving financial strategy, operational excellence, and disciplined execution across all financial functions including accounting, FP&A, cost control, treasury, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, structure, and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team focused on accuracy, scalability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Drive proactive financial planning and analysis, including annual operating plans, forecasting, long-range strategic modeling, and unit economics.

Deliver timely and GAAP and ASC compliant financial reporting with full audit readiness and strong internal control systems.

Oversee cost accounting, inventory management, and margin analysis in a manufacturing environment; ensure accurate product costing and variance analysis.

Manage compliance with tax, audit, and statutory reporting requirements (domestic and international).

Partner with executive leadership to evaluate capital structure, growth initiatives, capital investments, M&A, and operational performance.

Lead treasury, banking, and cash flow management, ensuring appropriate capital allocation and liquidity.

Oversee financial risk management, including commercial insurance programs, hedging strategies, and international entity controls.

Champion the implementation, optimization, and integration of ERP and financial reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making.

Collaborate with department heads to institutionalize financial discipline and continuous improvement practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Master’s or MBA preferred.
- CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including at least 4 years in a manufacturing organization.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, ASC, IFRS, and cost accounting principles.
- Experience overseeing audits, tax compliance, and financial reporting for multi-entity or international operations.
- Strategic yet hands-on leadership style with a proven ability to build process, structure, and accountability.
- ERP experience (Epicor or equivalent) and proficiency with modern BI tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively at board, executive, and operational levels.
Compensation range: $215,000–$250,000 + 30% bonus
This is an onsite role at the company’s headquarters in Santa Fe Springs.
