Accounting Manager

CooperDouglas is partnering with a high growth manufacturing company to hire an Accounting Manager in El Segundo, CA. This is a hands on role within a fast paced environment, ideal for someone coming out of BIG 4 who wants to step into a leadership position and own the close within a manufacturing setting.

What you will do

• Own and manage the month end and year end close process
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Oversee inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing related accounting activities
• Ensure accuracy around standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory controls
• Partner closely with operations and supply chain to support reporting and drive improvements
• Support audits and work closely with external auditors
• Identify process improvements and help build scalable accounting processes
• Supervise and develop junior accounting staff

What we are looking for

• Big 4 CPA required
• Experience in a manufacturing or product based environment
• Strong understanding of inventory, cost accounting, and standard costing
• Hands on experience owning or heavily contributing to the close process
• Strong technical accounting foundation and attention to detail
• Ability to operate in a fast paced, growing environment
