Business Analyst / Technology Operational Risk
Budapest, Budapest, Hungary HYBRID REMOTE (Flexible work from home days)
EUR €45,000 to €60,000
In this role, the BA supports the execution of the Technology Operational Risk Internal Incident Collection Process, ensuring consistent and efficient workflows. It requires a foundational understanding of the technology lifecycle and risk controls. The candidate must effectively communicate with stakeholders and manage expectations independently. Basic project management, data analysis, and automation support are key components. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools are important. At least two years of relevant experience and a commitment to continuous learning are expected.
Responsibilities
· Support the execution of Technology Operational Risk Internal Incident Collection Process, ensuring consistency and efficiency across workflows.
· Possess foundational understanding of technology lifecycle and workflows (e.g. development, testing, deployment).
· Demonstrate awareness of technology risk and controls, with the ability to understand control effectiveness.
· Have working knowledge of firmwide technology risk policies and frameworks.
· Communicate effectively with stakeholders across functions; able to manage stakeholder expectations and independently lead conversations when needed.
· Exhibit basic project management skills, with particular emphasis on time management and task prioritization.
· Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
· High attention to detail.
· Apply foundational data analysis skills to support process execution and identify opportunities for automation.
· Participate in and support ongoing process automation initiatives.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data handling and reporting.
· Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlikview, Tableau) is a strong plus.
· Continuously learn and implement new skills and as well as understanding the latest technologies
· At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
· Proven experience working as a Tableau Developer or a similar BI role.
· Experience in working in an Agile environment.
· Hands-on experience with working on different relational databases like SQL, MySQL, DB2, etc.
· Knowledge about investment banking processes and directives is a plus.
· Experience in business analysis within the financial services sector.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Detail-oriented with the ability to adhere to strict timelines.
· Proficient in MS Excel (Advanced), MS Word, and project management tools like JIRA.
· Strong analytical skills with a focus on Business process improvement and automation.
