The Senior Field Property Risk Engineering Consultant is a key member of the Risk Engineering Property Team, responsible for performing advanced property and natural hazard risk assessments for large commercial accounts. This remote role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in Highly Protected Risk (HPR) property, capable of providing consultative services to meet underwriting requirements and drive customer loss reduction strategies.
Perform advanced Property/Natural Hazard Risk Assessments and deliver risk improvement services, primarily for larger locations and key accounts/prospects.
Manage the assigned account risk portfolio, providing account-level risk engineering support to satisfy underwriting and/or customer requirements.
Develop and implement proactive customer service strategies focused on reducing loss potential and improving customer operations.
Provide essential engineering support to the underwriting team by attending client and broker meetings.
Conduct plan reviews and support change management processes.
Deliver advanced property consultative services, including identifying exposures with significant loss potential, investigating the cause/effect of major losses, and advising on property management programs.
Monitor property account engineering services to ensure they are delivered properly, on time, and cost-effectively.
Assist in marketing risk transfer insurance products in conjunction with underwriting professionals and agents across company business segments.
Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of experience in the Property Risk Engineering area.
OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8+ years of experience in the Property Risk Engineering area.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PC and Software/systems).
Demonstrated experience working successfully in a team environment.
Willingness to travel (approximately 25-30%).
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Fire Science, or a related field.
Large account HPR Property experience and knowledge of NFPA standards.
Property Loss Control/Risk Engineering experience within the insurance industry.
Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) certification.
Knowledge/experience within the Automotive Manufacturing Industry.
Strong communication, consultative, and collaborative skills.
