Technical Sales Engineer - Plastic Injection Molds & Custom Machining

 

  • 5+ years of experience within the plastics industry (including mold making) is a requirement
  • 2+ years of proven sales experience, ideally within a technical or manufacturing environment is also required
  • Pay is $75,000 to $120,000 based upon experience
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
  • This position is onsite only with no remote work with minimal travel
  • Full-time, permanent W-2 employee
  • Full benefits, 12 paid holidays, and a 401(k) with company match
  • No relocation
  • Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

 

This full-time, permanent Technical Sales Engineer opportunity is at an employee-oriented, plastic injection manufacturer. Employees here really enjoy working here as they are treated very well. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate should include the following:

  • Independently manage and grow relationships with existing customers while developing new accounts
  • Plan and organize daily sales activity based on customer needs and opportunities
  • Create and deliver sales presentations tailored to the customer’s application and technical requirements
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and generate customer sales reports
  • Generate accurate quotes using appropriate industry language and terms
  • Stay current on industry trends and technical knowledge in mold making and injection molding
  • Attend industry events and engage with professional networks to promote the company’s capabilities

 

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in plastic injection molds, mold making, or the plastics industry
  • 2+ years experience in a technical sales or account management role
  • Proven ability to meet sales goals, manage client relationships, and close deals
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting technical information and proposals to engineering and purchasing teams
  • A solid work history
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
  • A residence within 45 minutes of Milwaukee, WI
