ESSENTIAL POSITION COMPETENCIES:
  1. Prepare and analyze financial statements, financial reports, and oversee all project/program accounting ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  2. Assist in the management of the organization’s financial operations, including long-term forecasting, financial planning, and collaboration with various departments to provide support for programs and project development.
  3. Optimize financial processes and systems for efficiency, leveraging your IT and technical expertise.
  4. Project management for software development initiatives including contract development, technical aspects, project budgets, timeframes, and vendor management and communication.
  5. Manage technology support and contracts with service providers, oversee software installations and manage relationships with external vendors to ensure adherence to best practices for the organization. 
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years’ financial management experience preferably in a not-for-profit organization
  • Proven experience in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting
  • Strong capabilities required in the use of Information Technology, accounting software (SAGE Intacct), Microsoft Office, and database management software (Salesforce)
  • A successful track record in setting priorities, keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
