Location: Green Cove Springs

We are seeking a highly dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team and support students in a school-based setting. This role is crucial in helping students achieve their full potential by addressing and overcoming physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges. As an OT, your expertise will directly contribute to students' academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving their ability to perform tasks required for success in the school environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to integrate therapy goals with educational objectives.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert input to support the development of effective educational strategies.
  • Educate students, families, and staff on adaptive equipment and techniques to enhance student participation and independence.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Proven experience in a school setting, with a strong understanding of the challenges and needs of school-aged children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
