We’re seeking a strategic, hands-on Senior Consultant and Technical Lead with deep expertise in Charles River Development (CRD) and the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS). This role blends client-facing delivery, platform leadership, and technical mastery—ideal for someone who thrives on turning complexity into clarity for clients in the investment management space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead full-cycle implementation and configuration of CRIMS, aligning features with investment workflows and operational goals.

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on CRD’s Trading, Portfolio Management, and Compliance modules.

  • Build trusted partnerships with Fixed Income and compliance stakeholders to support daily operations and incident management.

  • Recommend scalable solutions based on a detailed understanding of CRIMS’s internal architecture and components—applying a “know what’s under the hood” mindset to solve challenges and optimize platform use.

  • Guide clients through key project milestones from discovery and design through UAT and go-live.

  • Provide feedback on product capabilities and propose enhancements that anticipate industry and client needs.

  • Liaise between business and technology teams, translating requirements into practical, well-integrated CRIMS solutions.

  • Sit directly on the trading floor to ensure rapid communication, real-time issue resolution, and firsthand knowledge of trade workflows.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial technology, with 5+ years of direct CRIMS platform expertise.

  • Proven success implementing CRD systems in investment management settings, especially with Fixed Income and compliance use cases.

  • Strong command of CRIMS architecture, including data models, rules engines, and integration tools (e.g., SQL, FIX protocol).

  • Ability to assess internal system design and constraints, recommending practical enhancements and workarounds.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across technical and business teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.

Why Join? Bring your CRD/CRIMS expertise to a role where deep product knowledge and strategic insight make a real impact. Join a forward-looking team in San Francisco focused on transforming investment management through innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
