This role involves client engagement, administrative duties, and managing confidential information in a professional environment that values quality work and strong culture.

 

Ideal for local Legal Assistants with 2+ years of experience in legal or professional services settings. Having background in litigation is important when it comes to understanding the filing process and the Rules of Civil Procedure.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as client liaison through email, phone, and in-person communication
  • Follow up on case status, appointments, and billing
  • Handle potential clients professionally
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal team
  • Prepare legal documents and correspondence
  • Manage calendars, court dates, and meetings
  • Handle court filings and appearance preparations in State and Federal Courts and with the Division of Administrative Hearings
  • File with State and Federal Agencies, including the EEOC, FCHR, NLRB, and DOL
  • Maintain client files and documentation standards
  • Contribute to process improvement
  • Work proactively to solve problems

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2+ years legal assistant experience (or similar professional setting)
  • Experience with calendars, depositions, and expense management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software
  • Employment law and terminology knowledge preferred
  • Litigation experience preferred, including familiarity with Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Stable job history
