Seeking a hands-on IT professional to manage and support operational software systems and ensure optimal user environments across the organization. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborates closely with the third-party Managed Services Provider (MSP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing user support, managing system integrations, and ensuring backup, disaster recovery, and communication systems are fully operational.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line support for end-users by troubleshooting issues related to computer hardware, network/internet connectivity, email, and software applications, along with handling password and account administration requests.
  • Manage and deliver user support for operational software programs and system integrations, ensuring smooth functionality.
  • Collaborate with our managed services provider (MSP) to maintain and optimize the company’s entire network infrastructure.
  • Ensure the company’s backup and disaster recovery systems are fully operational and prepared for any contingencies.
  • Support and maintain various network systems, including printer networks (administrative and operational), DUO two-factor authentication, VPNs, and Power Automate workflows.
  • Manage the company’s communication infrastructure, which includes phone systems, internet service providers, and Office 365 products.
  • Handle user account maintenance tasks such as setting up new users and configuring their hardware and software environments.
  • Conduct training sessions for users on Office 365 applications, phishing awareness, and network tool usage.
  • Maintain the internal help desk ticketing system to improve user satisfaction and identify areas for technical improvement.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for recurring tasks, processes, and procedures.
  • Oversee and ensure the effective functioning of the company’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems.
  • Provide technical support for a wide range of software solutions, including Aeros ERP, Aeros Live, Easy Automation, Repete, Computerway Food Systems, Sage, Forms on Fire, GEOTAB, FeedLok, and more.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external contractors and equipment suppliers to ensure the smooth running of IT operations.
  • Contribute to the company’s Environment Management Systems (EMS) by monitoring and reducing the environmental impact of operations, including efforts in pollution prevention.

Required Education & Skills:

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and IT troubleshooting techniques.
  • A passion for learning and problem-solving, with the ability to research and resolve issues independently.
  • Expertise in Microsoft-based clients and servers, with excellent system administration skills.
  • Thorough understanding of networking components (LAN/WAN/VLAN), DNS fundamentals, and server environments.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a positive, solution-focused attitude.
  • Experience with programming in the .NET environment (VB.NET, C# preferred).
  • Proficiency in Excel VBA and experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS) preferred.
  • Familiarity with workstation, server, and network diagnostics, repair, and installation.
  • Experience with phone system installation, programming, and maintenance.
  • Expertise in supporting a VMWare virtualization environment, including Vcenter and Vsphere.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2019/2022, hybrid cloud environments, and Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server (2014/2022) and proficiency in querying with T-SQL is a plus.
  • Experience in managing server backup and disaster recovery systems in a Veeam environment.

  • Adaptability to work environments with varying conditions (e.g., temperature, noise levels).
  • Data entry tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in agricultural environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Valid driver’s license required for travel between company locations.
  • Flexibility to work during non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
