Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Tax Manager to join their Baton Rouge team. What You'll Do

  • Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, including Senior, Staff Accountants, and Interns, fostering growth and expertise.
  • Deliver Excellence: Review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and nonprofit returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the latest tax regulations.
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Build strong client relationships, lead tax planning initiatives, and identify opportunities to enhance client service and satisfaction.
  • Be a Trusted Advisor: Provide expert guidance to clients on tax strategy, representing them before tax authorities when needed.
  • Drive Success: Monitor engagement progress, manage budgets, and oversee billing and collection for your portfolio of clients.
  • Champion Development: Coach and train staff while actively participating in recruitment and retention efforts.

What We're Looking For

  • CPA designation required.
  • 8+ years of tax experience, preferably with a public accounting firm or large industry. High-potential candidates with 5-6 years of experience will also be considered.
  • Some management or supervisory experience is required. (Team Lead, Supervisor, or Manager level)
  • Proven ability to manage and develop teams while reviewing detailed work.
  • Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and experience with cloud-based accounting software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
