Position Overview
Install, configure, and support the organization’s Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and internet systems, including proxies. Maintain network and server hardware and software, monitor performance, and perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure high availability and reliability for all system users.

Install, configure, maintain, and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including hardware, systems software, applications, and configurations
Monitor network and server performance to ensure peak availability and reliability
Diagnose hardware and software issues and replace or repair defective components
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
Monitor and manage network access and usage
Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software, and operating systems
Recommend system and network improvements and determine hardware or software requirements
Confer with users to troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues
Monitor network performance to identify current and future capacity or configuration needs
Manage daily data backups to ensure successful completion
Gather and analyze end-user requirements to evaluate system and network needs
Research new technologies and make recommendations to the business
Maintain inventory of parts for emergency repairs
Assist other support teams as required
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Four or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
CCNA certification required
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, technical documentation, and governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, and basic geometry and trigonometry
Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems involving multiple variables with limited standardization
Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Computer Skills
Proficiency with Windows operating systems (XP and above)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Docs
Working knowledge of Active Directory environments
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
CCNA certification required
MCSA, Hypervisor, or VMware certifications are a plus
