We are currently seeking a Managing Director for our client, a growing professional services firm in Baton Rouge, to work in collaboration with the CEO and the leadership team to execute the organization's strategic plan. The Managing Director is a highly skilled and experienced operational manager, strategic thought partner and leader of organizational culture. The Managing Director will play a critical role in the refinement, design and integration of organization-wide, cross-team systems and processes to ensure alignment and increased operational efficiency and financial success. The Managing Director will drive the operationalization of the strategic plan with a human-centered focus.

Overarching Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business operations to drive organizational success
  • Establish and communicate policies that promote company culture and vision
  • Oversee operations of the company and the work of the executive team driving the company's operating capabilities to surpass customer expectations and retention, along with the financial goals of the company (with P&L responsibility).
  • Staff and client retention
  • Supervising, guiding, and delegating executives in their duties.

Ongoing Responsibilities:

  • Monitors monthly financial reports to assure that revenue targets are met
  • Takes action to improve performance and achieve goals
  • Initiates and implements process improvements to workflow and client experience
  • Executes on the long term goals of the company
  • Ensures all programs and departments meet the short and long term plans, and budgets based on the defined agency goals and growth objectives
  • Responsible for oversight across all disciplines, input and developing best practices for employee and related functions
  • Develop, implements and manages operational policies and procedures
  • Works with the executive team in managing and executing the strategic plan for the agency
  • Responsible for overseeing budgets, financial reporting, and fiscal accountability
  • Develops and maintains effective communications and reporting to the CEO and collaborates effectively with the executive team

What You'll Need:

  • Preferred Bachelor’s or master's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or closely related field which will provide knowledge of the principles, practices and administration of business.
  • 8+ years or the equivalent in experience of full-time progressively complex and responsible related work experience directly involved with operations, business, human resources, finance or related areas. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in operational leadership, project management, financial management, and strong business acumen. Proven experience leading others with a servant leadership style.

  • Strong skill set in prioritizing, strategizing, meeting deadlines and following up on assignments and roles and responsibilities with minimum supervision.
  • Analytical abilities are necessary to make sound decisions, logical interpretations, and to review and interpret financial statements and budgets
