Facility Integrity Engineer

Hybrid Remote - onsite 3 days per week Tulsa, OK

 $90,000 – $130,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits

This position is responsible for technical support of facility integrity and operations for company facilities. This includes responding to and leading the response to operational issues 24-7 such as releases, overpressure events, regulatory audits, equipment failure, abnormal operation conditions, and incident investigations. Use engineering analysis to troubleshoot recurring operational issues and implement solution. Work with various stakeholders to identify leak risk reduction projects and follow through to implementation. Review impact of various company projects to determine impact to facility and review and approve MOCRs. Maintain and update procedures and engineering standards with changing regulations and emerging technology. Lead program development projects that improve current processes.  The Facility Integrity Engineer is responsible for technical support of facility integrity and operations for all refined products and crude oil facilities.Manage PLC (project life cycle) for capital maintenance projects which includes scoping, submitting for funding, forecasting and execution of projects within pipeline facilities. Lead teams of contractors and inspectors to execute projects to completion. Manages projects within defined budgets and complete monthly financial forecast. Communicates with stakeholders during duration of projects and operational issues.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance, troubleshooting, and support of day-to-day operational issues and activities. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Troubleshooting operational issues including incorrectly working equipment, overpressure response and restart, product release investigation, review abnormal operations, engineering support for operations projects, incident investigations, remaining strength calculations for corrosion and resulting pipe repairs inside a facility, due diligence on compliance issues, valve failure investigations.
  • Management of expense initiatives including hydrotest of facilities, NDT facility piping, facility piping inspections, vibration studies.
  • Manage PLC (project life cycle) for capital maintenance projects which includes scoping, submitting for funding, forecasting and execution of projects within pipeline facilities.  Manage stakeholders and prioritize capital maintenance project execution. 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related field and the following job related experience preferred

Work Experience

  • Experience and training related to:
    • Transmission/gathering pipeline operations
    • Gas measurement and regulation activities
    • Processing and/or storage operations
    • Company/governmental operating and safety procedures
    • Pipeline stress/strain analyses

·         Project management experience   

  • Experience in engineering design and knowledge of criteria for natural gas, or NGLs in pipeline systems, or refined crude products.
  • Experience at this level is typically attained with four or more years of experience in engineering, operations and/or project management
  • Experience in use and function of applications such as: Microsoft Excel, Project, Access, Word, etc.
  • Experience researching and preparing project materials and design specifications, contracts, agreements, budgets, engineering studies, and other relevant reports, forms, and correspondence
  • Experience identifying, researching, understanding, evaluating, and prioritizing operational problems and coordinating appropriate action/response

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of: pipelines or hydrocarbon processing and related facilities design, construction, operation, and maintenance
  • Knowledge of: material failure and structural analysis and industry standards and governmental regulations
  • Ability to: read and interpret governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, surveys, charts, load studies, and other relevant reports and correspondence
  • Ability to: analyze and resolve issues and/or questions concerning engineering design and calculations with supervisor assistance as needed on more design and calculations
  • Ability to: manage and prioritize multiple assignments with competing deadlines
  • Ability to: recommend and implement new initiatives and complete projects
  • Ability to: apply math, algebraic formulas, and statistical methods
  • Ability to: interact, negotiate and communicate effectively
  • Ability to: operate office tools and equipment required
  • Ability to: communicate thoughts, ideas, information, messages, and other written information, which may contain technical material, in a logical, organized, and coherent manner

Travel

  • Travel to other locations required
  • Ability to travel (estimated 25%)

Driving

  • Based on assigned tasks, employee may be assigned a company vehicle requiring the applicable driver's license

Ideal Candidate

·         Experience troubleshooting and providing technical guidance for operational issues in oil and gas facilities.
