Job Title: Project Engineer
Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support Project Managers in overseeing one or multiple infrastructure projects. This role will involve managing various project components, including cost tracking, budgeting, RFIs, submittals, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and field construction activities. The Project Engineer will play a key role in ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in all phases of project management, providing technical and functional support to field operations.
· Develop and review project submittals and RFIs before submission to the owner.
· Analyze project plans and specifications, collaborating with the Project Manager to address project requirements, design changes, and field conditions.
· Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality project deliverables.
· Track project progress, monitor quantities, and support cost control and payment processes.
· Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule, ensuring accurate timelines and activity sequences.
· Assist in the design and preparation of temporary works, including falsework, shoring, and formwork.
· Manage the procurement process and ensure timely delivery of materials, aligning with project schedules.
· Ensure all work and documentation comply with contract specifications and quality standards.
· Develop comprehensive work plans to promote safety, efficiency, and project success.
· Review and analyze shop drawings, as-builts, and related documents for accuracy and completeness before submission.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
· 1-3 years of experience in Department of Transportation (DOT) projects or related construction fields.
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), BlueBeam, and CAD. Familiarity with P6 and HCSS is a plus.
· Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
