Main Job Functions:

  • Manage the Assembly, Machine Shop, QA & related equipment testing functions.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to the Manufacturing Department and interfaces with Sales and Engineering.
  • Contributes to Quality and Safety improvement efforts.
  • This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and schedule for the Machine Shop, Assembly and machine testing activities.
  • Interface with customers and coordinate the FAT function.
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities for the training and professional development of personnel.
  • Assist in the strategic direction and structure of the Operations Group.
  • Conduct personnel reviews.
  • Evaluate and advise the necessity of capital requirements and technological improvements.
  • Assist in the scheduling, evaluation and coordination of outside services.
  • Advise the Engineering Department on product or process improvements.
  • Supervise the update of engineering drawings. Ensure that required documentation accompanies drawings.
  • Assist with customer installations and/or technical services. Occasional travel is required.
  • Adhere to Company policies and safety regulations, and actively lead the effort to enforce safe work practices.
  • Adhere to and implement the ISO QMS. Participate in a Process of Ongoing Improvement to identify policies, processes and procedures that contribute to improve the operations of the Company.

 Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years’ experience in mechanical assembly and testing
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering preferred or equivalent technical training
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic Solid Works & Anvil browsing knowledge.
  • Ability to understand and work with blueprints and engineering drawings.

 To comply with some state laws, the annual base salary range for this position has been provided. The range given is broad and should be considered as a guideline only. Our client will consider a candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, the salaries of current employees in similar roles, and other factors when extending an offer.
