Retail Workforce Management Project Manager
Reporting to the Director of Retail Field Support, the Retail Workforce Management Project Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance and execution of retail workforce management and labor operations processes, including retail labor forecasting, scheduling, deployment, timekeeping, and associated applications. This position leads management and implementation of workforce management software solutions and associated products across the retail organization. This is a contract role with an estimated duration of 18 months and could be extended to permanent.
Their primary responsibilities are to manage workforce management programs and create/maintain standards which strengthen and simplify our mission, motivate and engage employees, and drive improvements in execution to ultimately better serve guests.
The Workforce Management Project Manager is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on individual to positively impact customer experience and engage our café teams by:
· Creating an environment where our cafes are at the center of every decision we make
· Translating retail goals into clear and understandable objectives for our cafes
· Providing support that enables our stores to execute against retail goals and objectives
· Providing communication and tools that support retail excellence in our cafes
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES
Retail Workforce Management
· Channel lead for workforce management projects in partnership with internal and external technical and business resources
· Accountable for successful execution of project deliverables in support of workforce management optimization
· Own development and management of current and future workforce management processes, including labor scheduling and timekeeping
· Create pilot criteria, evaluate, and assess pilot results and recommendations for enterprise deployment
· Develop complete enterprise plans inclusive of communication, training, technical deployment, and supporting resources in partnership with cross functional partners, vendors, and retail leadership
· Lead execution and implementation of future WFM project across all cafe locations
· Support the ongoing maintenance and configuration of WFM resources in partnership with IT
Retail Labor Management
· Maintain labor model in partnership with Finance, Operations, and Retail Leadership
· Optimize labor costs by monitoring planned, scheduled, actual and expected hours with various departments and recommend changes as needed to meet defined targets
· Lead efforts to ensure deployment of labor resources meet needs of business
· Manage labor analysis and recommendations
Retail Project Management
o Effectively support individual and company initiatives and special projects
o Provide project leadership and support for retail communications and operations
· Support other work as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· Project management education and training required (CAPM, PMP, etc.)
· Experienced in workforce management software i.e., Kronos/UKG WFC modules (forecast manager, scheduler, etc.)
· 3+ years analyzing workforce planning data within a retail environment preferred
· 2+ years of workforce management administration experience
· 1+ years of experience in retail operations in a front of house position
· Strong negotiation skills
· Ability to work autonomously to deliver results
· Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
· Strong ability to multi-task, follow up and manage competing priorities independently
· Strong customer focus. Anticipate customer needs and take action to meet them: continually search for ways to increase customer satisfaction and improve processes
· Excellent time management skills; ability to balance priorities and demonstrated ability to manage projects independently from creation to implementation to maintenance
· Thorough understanding of in-store retail processes
· Flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing needs of the business
· Ability to interact with and influence all levels of management
· Excellent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Skilled with PMIS software.
· Four-year college degree in business or related field preferred
· Hybrid role; in office 3 days a week (Tue-Thu)
· Must live in California
