Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Onsite, Baton Rouge, LA

Hourly Rate: $17 - $20

Office Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday - Tuesday)

Key Responsibilities:

 

Administrative Support:

  • Prepare and develop documents related to Justice of the Peace services, including eviction, small claims, garnishment, and judgment of possession proceedings.
  • Coordinate and schedule trial dates, weddings, and other appointments using a shared office calendar.
  • Prepare the daily court docket, and handle copying, scanning, and filing of court documents.
  • Monitor and manage office supplies, placing orders as needed.
  • Maintain a detailed log of daily transactions.

 

Receptionist Duties:

  • Answer and manage phone calls, greet walk-in visitors, and handle email communications.
  • Provide empathetic customer service, especially when dealing with sensitive matters.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all interactions.

Demonstrates ability to operate general office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, scanners, phones, and fax machines. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience working on MAC computers is a plus!
