This 336-bed medical center is part of a regional health system serving the Las Vegas area. The Women’s Center provides digital mammography, gynecologic care, and gynecologic surgery, with a strong focus on supporting new mothers. Job Description:

Leads the facility’s Infection Prevention (IP) and Control programs. Ensures regulatory compliance and continuous IP readiness. Oversees clinical IP initiatives with a strong emphasis on patient safety. Manages reporting compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), state and local agencies, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) surveillance standards. Directs IP surveillance activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Education:

Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, Epidemiology, Public Health, Clinical Microbiology, or another health-related science is required.

Experience:

• Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience in a health-related field required

• Two (2) years of leadership experience in Infection Prevention or epidemiology required

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical analysis programs

• Strong overall computer skills

License/Certification:

• Current state license in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or another related health science, as applicable

• Current national Certification in Infection Control (CIC)

Other Requirements:

Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the age and needs of the patient population served by the assigned department.
