Our mid-sized medical device client is adding a Production Supervisor II to the team. The Production Supervisor will be a key leader in driving operational success, overseeing all aspects of daily operations, from assembly to fabrication, while ensuring strict adherence to policies and procedures. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and empowering both people and processes, with a focus on enhancing safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. This position requires a strategic mindset combined with hands-on leadership to foster continuous improvement and operational excellence across your team. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the team’s performance and driving the achievement of organizational goals.

Your role with the company:

  • Lead assigned operations team in delivering results across the Key Performance Indicators. 
  • Assess capacity and develop a staffing plan by determining resource needs, creating a business case for additional personnel, and collaborating with Human Resources to coordinate the selection process. 
  • Identify and develop direct reports by providing training, assigning challenging tasks, and conducting performance management and reviews. This includes regularly reviewing and monitoring JBAS and work order training to ensure team members are proficient and able to effectively rotate through different stations. 
  • Direct and provide prioritization and guidance to cross-functional core team members to achieve goals. 
  • Manage the performance of team members, including hiring, coaching, disciplining, and terminating production staff in compliance with Intricon policies and state and federal regulations. 
  • Execute policies and ensure compliance that affect processes and personnel within the assigned organizational unit (e.g. FDA, BSI, OSHA, EEO regulations etc.)
  • Drive business decisions through recommendation and development of operational procedures that affect personnel within the assigned organizational unit.
  • Analyze internal and external indicators by reviewing reports and data to identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Collaborate with Finance on the development and monitoring of area budget through regular analysis of cost and spending. 
  • Demonstrate an ability to guide systematic problem-solving. 
  • Ideate and lead continuous improvement projects. 
  • Implement and maintain Lean daily management practices, including tiered communication to drive continuous improvement. 
  • Inspire a work environment committed to safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and Quality Management System.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Your role with the company:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of people leadership in medical device manufacturing
  • Lean/Six Sigma Greenbelt certification, preferred.
  • A proven track record of success delivering results in collaborative environments.
  • Ability to lead functional operation and business strategy execution.
  • Influence business decisions and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Critical thinking skills for addressing complex issues.
  • Effective communication with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
