Job Description

  • Oversee day-to-day operations at the grain facility in support of the Superintendent and Location Manager
  • Monitor inventory levels and help ensure compliance with company control standards
  • Assist in cost control efforts and operational planning
  • Coordinate grain conditioning, space utilization, and mix/blend opportunities
  • Help implement and schedule preventative maintenance in compliance with OSHA grain handling standards
  • Support employee development and manage workflow to maintain productivity
  • Promote energy efficiency and cost-saving initiatives
  • Ensure asset protection and site security measures are followed
  • Supervise contractors, temps, and other onsite workers
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer needs
  • Recommend improvements to processes and operations

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a grain elevator or terminal (required)
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with teams
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical, operational, and safety procedures
  • Farming background is a plus
  • Must be physically able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in varying weather, and operate in noisy environments
