Job Title: Assembly Production Worker – 1st shift

Location: Harlan, Iowa

Salary: up to $20/hour 

Job Summary of the Assembly Production Worker: The Production Employee will work in the Assembly area and perform a variety of duties to do quality work from engineering blueprints, work order process sheets, quick quote sheets with written or verbal instructions to meet stock, and sales orders for shipment. Assembly for compliance with company guidelines by performing the following duties. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Assembly Production Worker:

• Required to do hand assembly, read a tape measure, dial calipers, and weight count scale.
• Work with machines, power, and hand tools to produce, assemble, and repair parts.
• Maintain necessary records and daily maintenance required on power tools and equipment.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to your supervisor.
• Perform visual as well as physical inspection of the product, raw material, and purchased material to ensure quality work.
• Duties involve selecting parts, and materials with proper identification, and location in accordance with engineering blueprint work order process sheet, quick quote sheets.
• Must involve accurate counting, and identification of the material or parts to or from designated areas or work cells in a careful manner to prevent damage and injury.
• Daily preventative maintenance.
• Examining and having a thorough knowledge of engineering blueprint before a product or part can be made.
• Required to take responsibility to make a final inspection of the first completed part or product made to ensure total quality before continuance of the work order process sheet.
• Responsible for proper stacking of finished product with ensuring proper identification and location.

 Education & Experience Requirements of the Assembly Production Worker:

• Hand and power tool experience
• Have experience working in a team environment.
• Experience in machine operation .
• Blueprint reading a plus.

·         High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
