JOB SUMMARY
The Chief Operating Officer leads the organization’s global operations and supply chain functions including merchandising, inventory management, purchasing, imports, logistics, warehouse and distribution, vendor relationships and sales operations, The role will develop and lead the execution of strategies for these functions across all categories of our business to achieve short and long-term financial goals (sales, margin, profitability). 
 
As a leader in our organization, this individual will play a key role in driving the company culture through a client-first mind-set, fostering cross-functional team collaboration, developing operations, and supply chain talent, and supporting the continuous evolution of business processes to maximize resources. This position will report directly to the CEO and be part of Executive Leadership Team. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial and enjoys leading and building teams, implementing processes, and growing and scaling businesses.
 
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• 20+ years of senior-level leadership experience in Operations & Supply Chain (including Merchandising, Inventory Management, Procurement, Logistics, Distribution, and Sales Support)
• Full P&L ownership experience, including strategy development and fiscal accountability
• High-growth or scale-up operations experience strongly preferred
• Global experience including oversight of international offices and vendor networks (Asia, EMEA, etc.)
• Deep knowledge of cross-functional business operations (Finance, HR, IT, Marketing)
• Proven ability to build and lead large, diverse, and distributed teams across geographies
• Strong expertise in data analytics and operational KPIs
• Track record of strong vendor/factory relationships across global wholesale markets

CORE OWNERSHIP AREAS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Profitable Revenue Generation
• Drive alignment between operations, sales, and finance by partnering directly with the CEO, CSO, and CFO to support business growth targets.
• Direct the long-term global supply chain and operations strategy, ensuring scalability and cost-effectiveness across markets.
• Develop and execute the annual operating plan—prioritizing margin expansion, operational efficiency, and world-class service delivery.
 
Data Driven Client Experience 
• Steer operational decision-making through rigorous use of data—across purchasing, pricing, merchandising, and sales support.
• Improve customer satisfaction (NPS) and increase client lifetime value by optimizing margin strategy, SKU mix, and pricing architecture that resonate with our clients across all channels; B2B, B2C and D2C.
• Lead assortment planning, rationalization, and private label expansion to align with evolving customer needs and deliver differentiated value. 
• Use analytics to proactively assess competitive positioning and drive pricing decisions that support growth and retention.
 
Performance Driven Culture
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing operations and supply chain organization accountable to measurable business outcomes.
• Set and enforce SLAs across functions to ensure operational excellence and satisfaction for internal and external partners.
• Establish a culture of direct feedback, continuous improvement, and transparency by setting clear expectations and modeling accountability.
• Own industry and customer trend intelligence to proactively evolve team capabilities, implement operational adjustments and refine execution strategy.
 
 
Technical/Functional Management 
• Direct global sourcing and product strategy including identification and management of wholesaling vendor and factory relationships, contract negotiation, and ideation of new products sources in lockstep with Sales and New Business Development to meet growth and margin targets.
• Negotiate and manage factory/vendor relationships across international markets to support innovation, cost efficiency, and delivery speed.
• Ensure full compliance with ESG goals, labor standards, and product safety regulations across all sourcing and production functions.
• Identify supply chain/logistics delivery methods that ensure delivery timelines are met in a cost-effective manner to meet replenishment goals, drive margin improvement and NPS scores. 
• Lead the overall warehousing and distribution team performance to ensure inbound/outbound efficiencies, balancing the “just in time and ‘just in case’ needs of our clients and all related operational costs including labor. 
• Eliminate operational silos across the organization by designing and driving integrated operational workflows that unlock scale and profitability, maximizing profits and establishing competitive advantage.
