Position Summary

The Divisional Vice President, Global Sourcing is a strategic and operational leader responsible for shaping and executing the company’s global sourcing strategy. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, cost-efficient, socially compliant, and innovative products that align with corporate growth, margin, and service objectives.

The successful candidate will lead a global team across multiple geographies—spanning supplier relations, product development, compliance, and procurement—and serve as a key connector between Sales, Merchandising, Design, Logistics, Finance, and Operations.

This leader will design and scale a sourcing network that drives profitability, sustainability, and speed-to-market across all product categories and regions. They will also champion continuous improvement, digital enablement, and change management to build capability, governance, and culture that supports the company’s next stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Governance

  • Lead strategic operations for all groups comprising the global supply chain, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and alignment with company goals.

  • Develop and execute short-, mid-, and long-range sourcing plans that support overall growth and financial targets.

  • Establish and maintain governance for purchasing and supplier procedures, ensuring compliance with policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards.

  • Oversee supplier contracts, negotiations, and bid awards, ensuring optimal total cost of ownership (TCO).

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and executive leadership to align sourcing strategies with financial, operational, and ESG priorities.

Cross-Functional Leadership & People Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing global sourcing team across multiple time zones.

  • Build a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across Sourcing, Merchandising, Compliance, and Operations.

  • Develop clear role definitions, competencies, and succession plans to support scalability and growth.

  • Drive adoption of new systems, tools, and processes through structured change-management efforts.

Operational Excellence & Analytics

  • Use data-driven insights to analyze performance across teams, departments, and suppliers.

  • Develop dashboards and scorecards to track KPIs, supplier performance, and sourcing effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate budgeting and alignment with cost objectives.

  • Identify opportunities for automation and digital enablement to increase efficiency and scalability.

Supplier Relationship Management & Compliance

  • Build and manage strategic vendor partnerships across global manufacturing hubs.

  • Ensure all sourcing activity aligns with ethical, environmental, and social compliance standards.

  • Conduct supplier audits, business reviews, and corrective action plans to maintain high performance.

Tactical & Operational Accountability

  • Oversee supplier setup, bid preparation, and RFP processes.

  • Approve final product costing, purchase orders, and vendor agreements.

  • Partner with Logistics, Compliance, and Fulfillment teams to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.

  • Support client-facing teams with sourcing insights, cost modeling, and production timelines.

Communication, Reporting & Decision-Making

  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports for executive leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate sound decision-making and problem-solving in complex environments.

  • Prioritize multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 12+ years of progressive sourcing and product-development experience, with at least 7 years leading multi-country teams.

  • Proven success building scalable, compliant, and high-performing sourcing networks across Asia and other regions.

  • Strong financial, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.

  • Experience implementing sourcing governance, performance systems, and continuous-improvement programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change and ambiguity.

Position Details

  • Budget Accountability: Responsible for managing the global sourcing and procurement budget, including cost-of-goods targets, vendor rebates, and savings initiatives.

  • Reports: 5–7 direct reports.

  • Travel Requirements: 25–35% international and domestic travel to supplier facilities, trade shows, and regional offices.

  • Location: Based at corporate headquarters (U.S.) with flexibility and global collaboration across multiple time zones.
