Position Overview

The Divisional Vice President, Supply Chain will direct the strategic and operational management of a global supply chain, ensuring efficient, compliant and scalable processes that support ongoing growth. This role will develop merchandising and sourcing strategies, oversee procurement operations, and drive innovations that enhance service delivery to both internal stakeholders and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic & Operational Leadership:Define and execute a global supply chain strategy aligned with growth targets and KPIs. Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations and Technology teams to ensure cross-functional alignment. Develop and implement short-, mid-, and long-term plans that drive scalability and service excellence.

  • Governance & Compliance:Establish and enforce governance for all purchasing procedures and policies, ensuring full compliance with local, state, federal and international regulations. Oversee risk mitigation strategies in sourcing and contract management to maintain supply chain continuity.

  • Vendor Management & Procurement:Lead RFP and vendor negotiation processes to meet cost, quality and service objectives. Develop procurement tools, templates and workflows to improve efficiency and compliance. Manage vendor relationships and service agreements that support strategic goals.

  • Team Leadership & Development:Mentor and evaluate global supply chain teams to foster a high-performance, customer-centric culture. Design and implement training programs and technical documentation to ensure professional growth and procedural consistency.

  • Analytics, Planning & Optimization:Conduct ongoing supply chain analysis—considering direct costs, freight, lead-times, handling, yield loss and reliability—to drive cost optimization. Leverage data and performance metrics for continuous improvement, and partner with business leaders to identify operational enhancements.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Facilitate clear communication between supply chain, sales and operations teams to support strategic alignment and rapid decision-making. Share best practices across the global network to drive continuous improvement.

 

 Experience Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive leadership in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement, preferably in global or high-growth environments• Proven track record scaling supply chain operations from $500 M to over $1 B• Demonstrated ability to lead global teams across multiple geographies and time zones• Strong analytical expertise in supply chain modeling, vendor performance metrics, and cost optimization• Proficiency with ERP systems and supply chain analytics platforms, including digitization initiatives• Experience designing and implementing governance frameworks and procurement systems• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related; MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Team Size: Approximately 5 direct reports and 300 indirect reports
