We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to step into the role of Manager, Maintenance, Turnaround, and Construction. This pivotal position is crucial for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of maintenance projects, turnarounds, and capital construction endeavors. The ideal candidate will be adept at leading a team, managing contractors, and driving continuous improvement to enhance operational performance and workforce development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight for maintenance operations, ensuring assets meet safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency standards. Conduct technical evaluations, propose equipment enhancements, and manage plant integrity programs in alignment with regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Spearhead the planning and execution of turnarounds, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Oversee capital project execution, facilitating constructability assessments and milestone tracking to meet safety and quality benchmarks.
  • Develop and uphold robust safety programs to foster a secure work environment and mitigate risks. Ensure adherence to Process Safety Management (PSM) protocols, governmental regulations, and internal policies.
  • Manage and mentor staff across diverse teams, implementing performance management systems, establishing objectives, and conducting appraisals. Deliver training to enhance technical competencies and support career growth.
  • Formulate and oversee budgets for operational expenses, capital projects, and turnaround activities. Collaborate with leadership to synchronize departmental strategies with overall facility goals and engage in long-term planning initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years of experience in maintenance project management within refining or petrochemical sectors, or 12+ years of equivalent industry experience without a degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or process management experience in a union environment.
  • Preferred: 10+ years of experience in refining turnarounds.
  • Availability for off-hours emergency response and capability to work outdoors or at heights under various weather conditions.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License and a current (or ability to obtain) TWIC card.
  • US Citizen, US Green Card Holders, or TN1 Visa only.
