We’re looking for a Shift Supervisor for a modern, high-output manufacturing facility. We’re looking for you to deliver excellence in safety, quality, and productivity—and play a key role in shaping the plant’s performance and culture.
This is a great role for a forward-thinker—someone who can anticipate issues, build strong relationships, and bring out the best in seasoned teams.
General Duties:
-
Lead from the front—model company's core values of Safety, Integrity, Citizenship, and Sustainability
-
Drive engagement—rally the crew around shared safety and production goals
-
Coach, correct, celebrate—provide feedback that helps people grow and stay on track
-
Run the floor—own your shift’s performance with clear communication and follow-through
-
Plan smart—optimize crew schedules, training, and shift logistics to hit targets
-
Support continuous improvement—identify bottlenecks, raise the bar, and collaborate with Maintenance and Ops
Requirements:
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (lumber or wood products a plus!)
- A strong communicator and coach who knows how to earn trust and drive accountability
- Comfortable with systems like MS Office and confident navigating day-to-day operations
- Someone who’s hands-on, safety-conscious, and good at “thinking around corners”
- Willingness to work second shift and occasionally fill in on weekends
Preferred:
- Experience in lumber, plywood, or wood products manufacturing
- Understanding of business and labor concepts (bonus if you’ve worked in a union setting)
Why?

-
Supportive Culture – You'll work with long-tenured team members who take pride in what they do—just need a good leader to keep them focused
-
No Big Surprises – The mill is 40 years old but in good shape, with minimal equipment or turnover headaches
-
No Weekend Burnout – This plant rarely runs weekends—maybe once a month at most
-
Live Well – This region offers a low cost of living; “You can live like a king on $90K/year” isn’t an exaggeration

-
Bonus: Target 5% of base
-
