CNC Programmer & Machinist - Precision Manufacturing

 

  • 2+ years of experience in CNC machine programming and setup is required
  • A vocational school/technical certification is a plus
  • Pay is $28/hr - $32/hr

The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:

  • Program, set up, and operate a variety of CNC and manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.) to fabricate precision parts
  • Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues independently to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Inspect parts using advanced measuring tools (CMM, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
  • Suggest and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and quality
  • Train and mentor less-experienced machinists and act as a resource for technical knowledge
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure project timelines and quality expectations are met
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and ensure compliance with safety standards

 

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required; vocational school/technical certification is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in CNC machine programming and setup
  • 2+ years of hands-on programming experience is a requirement
  • Proficient in CNC programming (G-code, Fanuc, Mazak, Haas, or similar controls)
  • Strong knowledge of materials, tooling, feeds, and speeds
  • Ability to work from complex blueprints and GD&T symbols
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices is a plus
  • A solid work history with strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
