Well-respected global Freight Forwarder/Customs Broker is hiring an LCB to manage brokerage operations and supervise a small team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Direct all aspects of entry writing, clearance, documentation, traffic, and billing.Supervise and assist a team (<10) executing all day-to-day activities. Provide advice on taxes, duties, bonds, insurance, tariffs, restrictions, fees, etc.Enforce compliance with laws, rules and regulations of all countries and agencies involved.Manage department P&L, analyze data, and address problem areas. Collaborate with government agencies as needed.Conduct audits, address errors, recommend improvements, and amend SOPs as needed.Stay current with industry updates, regulations, publications, and events. Assist with training, work flow and assignments, processes, and escalations.Handle complex shipments, classifications, exam procedures, and post-entry.Evaluate all SOPs and propose enhancements as appropriate. Main Requirements:Valid US Customs Broker License for over 10 years. Current knowledge of logistics/clearance/brokerage operations.Minimum 10 years experience with a freight forwarder/NVOCC/CHB.Knowledge of HTS, classification, ISF, agency holds, exams, POA, post-entry work, etc.Ability to establish efficient work flow to ensure timely clearance and avoid delays and penalties. Computer proficient, relationship-savvy, enthusiastic, proactive, resourceful, problem-solver. Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills.
